It gives me immense pleasure to welcome you to Noor E Samad Nursing College, an institution committed to excellence in nursing education, healthcare, research, professional development, and human values.
Dr. Md. Amirul Islam, a Public Health Specialist with an academic background in Public Health. He completed a master’s degree in public health from a renowned private university in Bangladesh and subsequently earned my Ph.D. degree from a reputed university in Paris, France. Throughout my academic and professional journey, I have remained deeply committed to education, public health, research, and the development of skilled human resources for the healthcare sector.
Noor E Samad Nursing College has emerged as a promising institution in the nursing education sector of Bangladesh, with a clear vision of preparing competent, compassionate, ethical, and professionally skilled nurses. We believe that nursing is not merely a profession; it is a noble commitment to humanity, patient welfare, dignity, and compassionate service.
Nursing education occupies a vital position within the broader field of health sciences. The Department of Nursing and Health Sciences at the University of Dhaka represents an important milestone in university-level nursing education in Bangladesh and has contributed significantly to the advancement of nursing education, professional practice, research, and healthcare services. Inspired by these academic values, our institution seeks to provide students with an educational environment where theoretical knowledge, practical skills, professional ethics, research orientation, and human values are developed simultaneously.
Our primary objective is to ensure that every student receives ample opportunities to acquire the knowledge, competencies, confidence, and professional attitudes required to become a successful nurse and a responsible healthcare professional. We are committed to maintaining an educational environment that combines contemporary nursing practices with the traditional values of our society—respect, discipline, responsibility, compassion, dignity, equality, and service to humanity.
Our dedicated faculty members and academic professionals are the strength of our institution. We seek to bring together highly qualified, experienced, and committed teachers and healthcare professionals who can share their knowledge, expertise, practical experience, and professional values with our students. Their responsibility extends beyond classroom teaching; they are mentors and guides who help students develop critical thinking, professional confidence, ethical judgment, communication skills, leadership qualities, and a genuine sense of responsibility toward patients and society.
We strongly believe that the quality of a student's conceptual development depends not only on classroom instruction but also on the breadth and richness of his or her educational and practical experiences. Therefore, we emphasize a balanced approach to learning that integrates theoretical education, clinical practice, skills development, research, professional ethics, and experiential learning. Through systematic and progressive learning, our students are prepared to advance through the relevant curricula of the Bangladesh Nursing and Midwifery Council (BNMC) and affiliated academic frameworks, including Diploma in Nursing Science & Midwifery, Basic B.Sc. in Nursing, and Post-Basic B.Sc. in Nursing programs, subject to applicable regulatory and institutional requirements.
At Noor E Samad Nursing College, we aspire to create an academic culture where students are encouraged not only to achieve professional excellence but also to become better human beings. We want our graduates to understand that every patient is a person deserving of dignity, respect, empathy, equality, and compassionate care. A technically competent nurse becomes truly exceptional when professional knowledge is combined with humanity, kindness, patience, and a sincere commitment to patient welfare.
Our vision is to contribute to the systematic development of the healthcare sector by producing well-trained, competent, ethical, and compassionate registered nurses. We believe that skilled nurses are among the most important pillars of an effective healthcare system. Their dedication, devotion, and involvement can bring comfort, confidence, hope, and countless smiles to patients and their families.
We therefore place particular emphasis on human dignity, fraternity, equality, integrity, professionalism, accountability, compassion, and lifelong learning. These values will guide our students throughout their academic and professional lives and help them respond effectively to the changing needs of modern healthcare.
It is my sincere expectation that our students will carry forward the reputation of this institution through their knowledge, competence, discipline, integrity, and compassionate service. I hope that every graduate of Noor E Samad Nursing College will become not only a competent healthcare professional but also an ambassador of humanity and a contributor to the health and well-being of our nation.
Finally, I extend my heartfelt appreciation and best wishes to our dedicated faculty members, administrative staff, students, guardians, and all those associated with the development of this institution. Together, let us build an institution of academic excellence, professional integrity, innovation, and compassionate healthcare education.
May Almighty Allah bless Noor E Samad Nursing College, its students, faculty members, staff, and all well-wishers with continued success, wisdom, and prosperity.
With best wishes to the entire Noor E Samad Nursing College family.
